Guides for Internet consumers

Do you access services or shop on the net a lot? Internet is a risky place because more often than not, you do not know whom you are dealing with. In the net, you will be asked to provide your personal information such as name and credit card or bank account number when you are trying to access products and services. Be careful with your social security number, don’t give it when your purchase something on the net. Be wary when you give this information. Take note that the safest payment method is credit card because it is protected under the Federal Fair Credit Billing Act. In the event that anything goes wrong, you have the right to dispute charges and withhold payments. The Federal law confines your liability up to $50 if there are unauthorized charges to your account. And most credit card companies will eradicate the charges fully provided you report the issue right away.
