The biodiesel-powered boat called Earthrace has been traveling around the world for more than two years. The fastest circumnavigation of the globe. The boat which runs entirely on biodiesel (recycled vegetable oil), is designed to bring awareness to alternative energy sources. Last Friday, the boat pulled in Spain and has set a new record for the quickest journey around the globe by a powerboat. It required 165,000 liters of biodiesel required for the journey and a rejuvenated spirit. The boat departed from Sagunto in Spain on April 27. Earthrace's adventures are not over. The boat will tour Europe over the next few months and then journey to Australia in time for the 2009 Auckland International Boat Show.
