$15 charge for checked bag

American Airplanes are going to charge $15 for first checked bag which starts on June 15 this year. They cut domestic flights and possibly lay off many workers because of the unstoppable increase of fuel. The fee for a first checked bag would exempt people from elite levels of its frequent flyer programs, those who bought full-fare tickets and those traveling overseas. This sucks. Why would they charge us for $15 checked bag? I hope the other airline companies would not do the same thing.
